Brad Pitt Seeks Angelina Jolie Financial Records in Miraval Winery Dispute

Brad Pitt’s legal team filed a petition in the Los Angeles Superior Court asking Angelina Jolie to produce several years of financial documentation, including contracts, payment records and other earnings data from 2017 through 2021. The request is intended to verify Jolie’s claim that she sold her stake in the Château Miraval winery in 2021 to achieve financial independence after their 2016 separation.

Jolie’s attorneys have objected, describing the demand as an invasion of privacy and exceeding the scope of the litigation. They note that Jolie previously provided limited records for 2020‑2021 and that a prior court ruling limited Pitt’s access to her communications. The underlying dispute centers on the ownership of the French winery, which Jolie sold to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021, a sale Pitt is now trying to overturn. The main trial on the Miraval ownership is scheduled for August 2027.
