Brad Pitt stars in survival thriller ‘Heart of the Beast’

Brad Pitt and director David Ayer are reuniting for the upcoming survival thriller ‘Heart of the Beast’. The film follows James Belmont, a former Special Forces officer, who must fight for survival in the Alaskan wilderness after his single-engine plane crashes into icy waters. He is accompanied by his retired fighting dog, Odin.

Director David Ayer described the production as physically demanding and emotionally taxing due to the harsh filming conditions, including extreme cold and fatigue. The story is expected to explore the psychological trauma of the protagonist through military service flashbacks. The film is scheduled for a US release on September 25, 2026, with a Czech premiere on September 24, 2026.
