Brad Pitt to present ‘Heart of the Beast’ at San Sebastián Film Festival

Brad Pitt is set to return to the San Sebastián International Film Festival for the first time in 17 years to present his new film, ‘Heart of the Beast’. The film will be screened out of competition during the 74th edition of the festival, scheduled for September 18–26, 2026.

Directed by David Ayer, the survival thriller follows James Belmont, a former Army Special Forces officer, and his military dog, Odin, after an aviation accident leaves them stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. The duo must navigate extreme temperatures and dangerous terrain to survive.

Filming for the Paramount Pictures production involved significant environmental challenges. Director David Ayer noted that the cast and crew faced grueling conditions, including constant exposure to cold water and mountainous landscapes, which required Pitt to fully immerse himself in the physically demanding role.
