Brad Pitt views AI as a potential tool for mid-budget films
Actor Brad Pitt expressed an open stance toward the use of artificial intelligence in the film industry, suggesting it could serve as a valuable tool for mid-budget productions. In an interview with Esquire, Pitt noted that while there is significant resistance to AI, the technology could assist films with budgets between $40 million and $90 million, particularly in the creation of visual effects.
Regarding the potential for AI to replicate actor performances, Pitt noted that while the technology could tailor emotions and movements, the resulting product might lack the original actor's creative choices and discoveries. He also addressed the practice of body scanning used for stunts and de-aging, stating that he has historically included contractual clauses to own and destroy his personal scans to maintain control over his likeness.
