Brad Pitt's 'Heart of the Beast' trailer reveals Alaskan survival thriller

Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for Brad Pitt's upcoming survival thriller "Heart of the Beast." The film follows James Belmont, a former U.S. Army Special Forces operative who crashes in the Alaskan wilderness and must rely on his combat service dog, Odin, to survive the extreme cold, predators and isolation. Director David Ayer reunites with Pitt for the project, their first collaboration since the 2014 war film *Fury*. Supporting actors include J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe, while Pitt also serves as a producer alongside Olivia Hamilton and Marty Bowen. The movie was shot in New Zealand to recreate Alaska’s rugged landscape and is slated for theatrical release on 25 September 2026.

The trailer emphasizes the harsh environment as a central antagonist, showing frozen rivers, steep terrain, and encounters with wolves and bears, while highlighting the bond between the stranded soldier and his loyal dog.
