Bradford Bulls defeat Castleford Tigers to end losing streak

The Bradford Bulls ended a seven-match losing streak with a 32-22 victory over the Castleford Tigers at Odsal Stadium. The win provides the Bulls with a chance to avoid finishing at the bottom of the Betfred Super League table.

Bradford established control during a dominant first half, with tries scored by Riley Dean, Connor Wynne, Caleb Aekins, Dan Russell, and Waqa Blake. Although Castleford attempted a comeback in the second half through Krystian Mapapalangi and Alex Mellor, an Ebon Scurr try helped secure the win for the Bulls.

Coach Kurt Haggerty praised the resilience of his defense and highlighted the standout performance of forward Ebon Scurr. The Bulls now face the York Knights in the final round of the season, with the potential to avoid the ‘wooden spoon’ depending on the results of the York Knights versus Catalans match.
