Liverpool signs Bradley Barcola from PSG for up to £123 million

Liverpool has completed the high-profile signing of French winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee reported to be between £106 million and €145 million, including potential add-ons. The 24-year-old moves to Anfield seeking a more prominent role and increased playing time, a factor PSG manager Luis Enrique noted as the primary driver for the transfer. Enrique praised Barcola’s development in Paris and described the move as a situation where “everyone is a winner.”

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has indicated that Barcola is in good physical condition and could potentially make his competitive debut this weekend against Ipswich Town at Portman Road. While Barcola has not featured in pre-season matches, he has completed three training sessions with the squad. Iraola highlighted Barcola’s positive mentality and his desire to join the club as significant assets. The winger is expected to provide much-needed offensive versatility, with the ability to play on both the left and right flanks.

The transfer arrives as Liverpool seeks its first Premier League victory of the 2026/2027 season following two draws. Barcola’s arrival follows other recent squad changes, including the departures of Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones.
