Bradley Beal to reclaim number 3 with Los Angeles Clippers

Bradley Beal is set to return to wearing number 3 for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2026-27 season. The jersey has already appeared in the team's official online store, and league sources have confirmed the change.

Beal previously wore number 3 for 13 seasons with the Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns. Upon joining the Clippers in the summer of 2025, he had opted to wear number 0 to allow Chris Paul to use number 3 during Paul's return to the franchise. Following Chris Paul's retirement in February 2026, Beal is reclaiming the number.

Beal addressed the significance of the number on social media, referring to Paul as “a legend” and stating that his “history and brand are untouchable.” The move follows a gesture of respect from Beal, who had originally offered to yield the number to Paul through Clippers President Lawrence Frank.
