Bradley Whitford stars in Broadway revival of ‘A Few Good Men’
Actor Bradley Whitford is starring as Colonel Nathan R. Jessep in the first Broadway revival of Aaron Sorkin’s 1989 play, ‘A Few Good Men’. The production is running at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater until January 10.
Whitford’s casting marks a symbolic shift in his career. Previously known for playing the idealistic Josh Lyman in ‘The West Wing’, his recent roles have often depicted darker aspects of government and leadership. In this revival, he portrays the villainous Marine Corps leader involved in a case concerning the death of a young member during a ritual.
Whitford noted that the play’s themes feel more relevant than ever, citing current real-world tensions. He suggested that the narrative mirrors contemporary discussions regarding institutional integrity and leadership.
