Brady Tkachuk joins Matthew Tkachuk on Florida Panthers

Brady Tkachuk has made an immediate impact in his preseason debut with the Florida Panthers, recording a goal and an assist in his first game in team colors. During the game, Tkachuk engaged in a fight to defend captain Aleksander Barkov following a hit that the team deemed excessive.

The addition of Brady Tkachuk reunites him with his brother, Matthew Tkachuk, who joined the Panthers in 2022. Panthers coach Paul Maurice noted that Brady fits the team's specific needs, while general manager Bill Zito highlighted the positive chemistry and “brotherly love” the duo brings to the dressing room.

Ahead of the regular-season opener against the Carolina Hurricanes, Brady Tkachuk returned to first-line practice duties alongside Barkov and Sam Reinhart. Despite experiencing minor tightness during a previous preseason game, Tkachuk is expected to be ready for the season opener.
