Brae Burn Country Club pro shop hit by car in Newton

A white Mercedes sedan crashed into the pro shop at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts, on a Saturday around noon. The incident resulted in three people being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries: the driver and two pro shop employees. All three were treated at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Surveillance footage shows the vehicle drifting through a parking lot, hitting a curb, and then smashing through the wall of the one-story pro shop. Newton police stated that the crash appears to be the result of accidental operator error rather than an intentional act, and alcohol does not appear to have played a role.

Following the crash, the local fire department and a city engineer inspected the building. They determined the structure was safe enough to allow the damaged wall to be boarded up. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
