Braga authorities take action after children found alone
Authorities in Braga, Portugal, have taken action following the discovery of two young children left alone in a building hall. The mother, a 37-year-old woman of Cape Verdean nationality, was questioned by the police and released under a term of identity and residence.
The children are currently under the care of social services. Investigations revealed that the children's primary diet consisted largely of biscuits and that their mother was frequently absent. The mother reportedly admitted to being away from the home due to her work schedule, which involves working late hours at nightlife establishments.
