Braga hosts cultural events on rock art and agricultural history

Braga is hosting cultural events focused on historical preservation and visual research. The Museu de Arqueologia D. Diogo de Sousa is hosting the 3rd Meeting of Rock Art in Time and Space. Organized by the University of Minho, the event focuses on the investigation and preservation of prehistoric archaeological heritage, including studies on biological traces in cave paintings and rock engravings in the Northwest Iberian Peninsula.

Additionally, the Casa dos Crivos is hosting the exhibition ‘Mãos na Terra’ by Tânia Dinis as part of the Encontros da Imagem 2026. The project is a visual investigation into the memories of female agricultural labor in the Minho region, utilizing photography, film, and archival materials to document the gestures and knowledge of local farmers.
