Bragança Paulista and Palhoça launch 2026 Campanha do Agasalho clothing drives

On Saturday 20 June 2026, the Fundo Social de Solidariedade organized a “Dia D” of the Campanha do Agasalho in Bragança Paulista, Brazil. Volunteers from the local Tiro de Guerra began collecting clothing, blankets and footwear at the Parque dos Estados, with additional fixed collection points at supermarkets, schools and municipal facilities across the region. The campaign, promoted by vice‑mayor Gislene Bueno, aims to distribute the donations to families experiencing extreme vulnerability, with collection continuing until 30 June.

In Palhoça, the municipal water utility Águas de Palhoça opened the first edition of the Campanha do Agasalho for the city. Partner institutions—including ACIP, APAE, NGOs and local schools—accept contributions at designated sites and at the utility’s service center until 17 July. Analyst Lucas Ripper highlighted the initiative’s goal to provide warm clothing to families in the Frei Damião neighbourhood. Both drives seek to alleviate the hardships of winter for low‑income residents through community‑wide donations and distribution networks.
