Bragança Paulista implements digital mapping for rural properties
In Bragança Paulista, the 'Rotas Rurais' program has successfully mapped 57 rural properties to improve navigation and emergency response. By generating individual digital location codes, the initiative allows exact property entrances to be found via navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze.
The mapping project was a collaborative effort between the Municipal Secretariat of Agribusiness Development and the Health Secretariat. During preventive health visits, teams collected geographic coordinates to create these codes, eliminating the need for informal landmarks and addressing the lack of signage on rural roads.
This technology is intended to assist delivery services, crop transporters, and public emergency services, including SAMU ambulances, the Military Police, and Civil Defense, by providing precise location data.
