Bragança Paulista launches massive health task force to clear waiting lists
The city of Bragança Paulista has announced its second major health task force, scheduled to begin on September 1. The initiative aims to eliminate public health waiting lists by performing over 80,000 procedures, including specialized consultations, exams, and surgeries, for more than 45,000 patients.
The municipal government is investing R$ 11 million of its own resources into the operation. Medical teams will work daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM to provide services such as ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, mammographies, colonoscopies, and various specialist consultations in fields like cardiology, dermatology, and orthopedics.
To manage the high volume of patients, the Municipal Health Secretariat will utilize the 'Saúde Digital' system. Patients will be contacted directly via WhatsApp to organize scheduling based on risk classification.
