Braidwood to host inaugural Big Wheels Festival

The inaugural Braidwood Big Wheels Festival is scheduled for 10 October in Braidwood. Organized by the Braidwood Lions Club, the community-focused event serves as a fundraiser for local initiatives, including programs for young people supported by the Education Foundation.

The festival will feature a convoy of more than 60 trucks, tractors, and heritage vehicles, including the restored Gellibrand maintained by the Braidwood Museum and Heritage Centre. The parade will begin on Wallace Street before moving to the local showground.

Activities at the showground will include a show and shine competition, market stalls, live music, children’s activities, and raffles. The event concept was developed by local truck driver and Braidwood Freight owner Nick Turner.
