Brain tumor discovered in woman after bathroom fall

A 46-year-old woman in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City, was diagnosed with a left frontotemporal meningioma after a fall in her bathroom exacerbated long-standing, dull headaches. Upon admission to Xuyen A General Hospital, she presented with severe pain, vomiting, difficulty speaking, and right-sided weakness. Medical imaging revealed the tumor was causing brain edema and compressing brain tissue.

Medical experts note that while most headaches are not caused by brain tumors, certain persistent symptoms should be treated with caution. Warning signs include increasing headache intensity, unexplained nausea or vomiting (especially in the morning), new-onset seizures, vision disturbances, motor or speech impairments, and changes in memory or behavior. Early detection through MRI or CT scans is critical for improving prognosis and managing complications.
