Neurosurgeon Iustinian Simion warns that the first sign of a brain tumor may not be a headache, but rather subtle changes in personality and behavior. This is particularly common with tumors located in the frontal lobe, which is responsible for planning, judgment, impulse control, and social behavior.

When the frontal lobe is affected, patients may become irritable, impulsive, apathetic, or disorganized. Because these changes are behavioral, they are often first noticed by family members rather than the patient themselves.
