Braj Mohan Ram clarifies stance on party politics as Odisha Governor

Newly appointed Odisha Governor Braj Mohan Ram has clarified his stance on political neutrality following reports that he intended to strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organization in the state. Ram stated that while he maintains an affinity for his former party, he is “now above party politics” and intends to work in coordination with all stakeholders to serve the public.

Ram’s appointment was part of a broader announcement by President Droupadi Murmu on October 12, which included the appointment of five other governors across India for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim.

In Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally bid farewell to the outgoing Governor, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, expressing gratitude for his contributions to the state’s development.
