Bramble Foods opens 67,000‑sq‑ft distribution centre in Market Harborough
Bramble Foods, the family‑owned fine‑food supplier, inaugurated a 67,000 sq ft national distribution hub called Lancaster House at Airfield Business Park in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Built by Leicestershire County Council, the facility will serve as the company’s main UK distribution centre, expanding warehousing and stock‑holding capacity as the group widens its product range.
The new centre features an EPC A+ rating, a 50 kW solar array expected to save 45,000‑50,000 kWh of electricity annually, electric‑vehicle charging points and enhanced insulation. Bramble Group, which includes Whitakers Chocolates, The Bay Tree and Lings and employs about 300 people, expects the site to create up to 50 skilled roles over the coming years.
The official opening was performed by long‑serving employee Steve Heighton, celebrating 50 years with the company, alongside Managing Director Tony Foster and local council representatives.
