Brandenburg allocates funding for youth fire brigades
The Brandenburg Ministry of the Interior is distributing approximately 426,552 euros to support youth fire brigades and disaster relief organizations. Amt Peitz has received the highest individual share of the funding, totaling 36,600 euros across two separate allocations, surpassing the 31,500 euros allocated to the state capital, Potsdam.
The funds are intended for various needs, including protective clothing, recruitment materials, training technology, media equipment, and transport vehicles. Recipients include youth fire brigades, schools participating in fire service programs, and aid organizations involved in disaster protection. Other regional beneficiaries include Cottbus, Drebkau, and several other municipalities within the Lausitz and Elbe-Elster regions.
In a related recognition of community service, the Landesjugendring Brandenburg e. V. held an awards ceremony in Wittenberge to honor young volunteers. During the event, which included a speech by Gordon Hoffmann, the Minister for Education, Youth and Sport, young individuals were recognized for their commitment to community responsibility and local initiatives.
