BrandEx Award 2027 to move to Phoenix des Lumières in Dortmund

The ninth edition of the BrandEx Award, a creative competition for live communication, will be held on January 19, 2027, at the Phoenix des Lumières in Dortmund. This marks the first time in several years that the ceremony will take place outside of traditional exhibition halls.

The venue, located in a former gas blower hall of the Phoenix West blast furnace plant, is a center for digital art and immersive exhibitions operated by Culturespaces. The event will utilize the industrial architecture through large-scale projections, light, and sound. Super Bonfire – Germany will serve as a premium partner, managing the immersive visual design and projections.

The award ceremony will be held as a standalone evening, separate from the BOE Night, to focus on the winning projects and the creatives involved. This event will serve as the kickoff for the BOE International trade fair, which begins the following day at the Dortmund exhibition grounds.
