Brandon Flowers releases first solo album in a decade

Brandon Flowers, the frontman of The Killers, has released his first solo album in over a decade, titled ‘Thrasher’. Recorded at the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville, the project marks a significant stylistic shift toward country and Americana music.

Produced by Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, the album features prominent Nashville musicians, including guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton, and legendary harmonica player Charlie McCoy. The record draws heavily from Flowers’ upbringing in Nephi, Utah, blending influences from new wave and post-punk with the country sounds of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.

Lyrically, the album focuses on personal and vulnerable storytelling, exploring themes of small-town life, family dynamics, and personal reflections as Flowers enters his 40s. The music moves away from the grandiosity of his previous work to embrace a more intimate, roots-oriented sound.
