Brandon McNulty to debut rainbow jersey at Giro dell’Emilia

Following his victory at the 2026 World Championships in Montreal, American cyclist Brandon McNulty is set to debut his rainbow jersey at the Giro dell’Emilia. This race marks the beginning of a planned series of Italian classics to conclude his season.

McNulty, riding for UAE Team Emirates, intends to compete in a block of Italian races that includes Tre Valli Varesine on October 6 and Il Lombardia on October 10. There is also the possibility of him participating in the Giro del Veneto on October 14 and the Veneto Classic on October 18, which could bring his total to five Italian races this month.

Teammates at UAE Team Emirates have praised McNulty’s versatility and character. While often perceived as quiet, his colleagues describe him as a relaxed and humorous presence within the team. Professional teammate Florian Vermeersch highlighted McNulty’s elite capabilities, noting his strength on both long climbs and flat terrain.
