Brandon Miller takes leadership role with Charlotte Hornets

Brandon Miller is entering the new season with the Charlotte Hornets in an expanded leadership role following the offseason trade of star guard LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves. At 23, Miller is now the longest-tenured player on the roster.

After dealing with injuries, including a left shoulder dislocation that required surgery in May, Miller has returned to contact training. He credited his recovery process to staying close to his teammates during rehabilitation.

In the previous season, Miller averaged 20.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He also noted a personal focus on improving his nutrition and dietary habits to better support his physical conditioning during the training camp period.
