Brandon police arrest man for gas station mischief

A 31-year-old man was arrested in Brandon following an incident at a gas station in the 1200 block of First Street North. Police responded to an alarm early Wednesday morning and discovered a glass door had been smashed with a rock.

Upon reviewing video surveillance, officers located the suspect in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue. The individual was charged with mischief under $5,000 and possession of a weapon after police found a folding knife in his possession. The suspect was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 5.
