Brandon Rojas wins Vuelta a Venezuela cycling title

Colombian cyclist Brandon Rojas of the GW Erco Sportfitn team has won the 63rd edition of the Vuelta a Venezuela. Rojas secured the overall individual general classification title after a strong performance throughout the race.

His victory was bolstered by a decisive win in the seventh stage, an 18.8-kilometer individual time trial in Valencia, where he recorded a time of 23 minutes and 17 seconds. This performance allowed him to take the overall lead from compatriot José Misael Urián.

The final eighth stage was a 160-kilometer route between Cagua and Turmero in Aragua state. While Colombian Nicolás David Gómez won the final stage in a mass sprint, Rojas successfully defended his lead to complete the total distance of 1,024.7 kilometers as the champion.
