Brandon Sherrod to receive Rosa d’Argento in Roseto degli Abruzzi

Brandon Sherrod, a former basketball player and current assistant coach for the Yale Bulldogs, will be honored by the administration of Roseto degli Abruzzi with the ‘Rosa d’Argento’ on August 26, 2026. The award recognizes his sporting, social, and cultural contributions to the community.

Sherrod previously played for the Roseto Sharks during the 2016/2017 and 2018/2019 seasons, helping the team reach the Serie A2 promotion playoffs. Beyond basketball, Sherrod collaborated on the 2017 charity music project ‘Italian Journey’ with the band ‘Brandon Sherrod & The Sharks’. The initiative raised 10,000 euros, which were donated to support projects in both Abruzzo and the United States, including the purchase of musical instruments for students in Montorio al Vomano.
