Brandon Sklenar debuts new blonde look at 2026 MTV VMAs

Actor Brandon Sklenar debuted a new look at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27. The '1923' star appeared on the red carpet with platinum blonde, cropped hair and shorter facial hair, a significant departure from his previous dark, shaggy hairstyle and full beard.

Sklenar attended the event alongside his 'The Rescue' co-star Hassie Harrison to promote their upcoming thriller. The film, which is scheduled for release on January 29, 2027, follows a former couple who reunite to rescue their kidnapped daughter. Sklenar plays Jamie Lee, an ex-rodeo cowboy, while Harrison portrays Kaley Tucker.

In preparation for the role, Sklenar noted that much of the filming took place outdoors in nature, involving significant time working with horses and dogs. He also drew on his experience from the 'Yellowstone' universe to prepare for the Western-themed production.
