Brandon Williams signs short-term deal with Rotherham United

Former Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has signed a short-term contract with League Two club Rotherham United. The 26-year-old defender has agreed to a deal that runs until January 23, 2027.

Williams joins the Millers following a period without a club after being released by Hull City in February 2026. He earned the contract after an extended trial period at the Roundwood training base, where he demonstrated his fitness to manager Alex Bruce and the coaching staff. Bruce noted that Williams has shown a great attitude and a strong desire to play despite facing difficult personal challenges in recent years.

The signing addresses a shortage of options on the left flank for Rotherham following injuries to Ewan Otoo and Fabio Tavares. Williams will wear the number 33 shirt.
