Brandt: Nearly half of former employees find new jobs

Nearly half of the former employees from the defunct French appliance group Brandt have found new employment less than a year after the company's judicial liquidation in December.

Official figures indicate that out of 352 former workers from the Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle and Saint-Ouen sites registered with France Travail, 168 are currently active, representing approximately 48% of the group. At the Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle site, 43% of the 256 tracked employees have secured new roles, including 59 permanent contracts. At the Saint-Ouen site, 60% of the 96 former employees are currently working, while others are engaged in retraining or business creation projects.

Local authorities, including the prefectures of Loiret and Loir-et-Cher, the Centre-Val de Loire region, and France Travail, have provided support through job search assistance and training programs to mitigate the impact of the company's closure.
