Brandywine Festival brings licensed Tolkien event to England

The Brandywine Festival, an officially licensed Lord of the Rings event, is taking place at the Weston Park estate in Staffordshire, England. Running from September 9 to September 13, the festival invites participants to arrive in character as hobbits, complete with unique names and backstories.

The event is organized by the German costume company Burgschneider in collaboration with Middle-earth Enterprises, which manages the rights to J.R.R. Tolkien’s works. The festival features workshops in various crafts, including weaving, cooking, herbal knowledge, storytelling, and folk music. Musical performances on two stages include acoustic folk, fiddle, and pipe music.
