Brașov and Chișinău launch major kindergarten renovation projects

In Brașov, Romania, the municipal government is expanding and modernising Kindergarten No. 7 on Câmpului Street. The project, overseen by Mayor George Scripcaru, will double the school's capacity to 120 children and add energy‑efficient features such as high‑performance insulation, photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. Construction began in January; the building’s structural framework, roofing and interior finishes are now complete, with external works and a playground slated for September, ahead of the contractual December deadline.

In Chișinău, Moldova, the city has reopened Kindergarten No. 3 in the Buiucani sector after a full renovation that had been pending for almost two decades. The 17 million‑lei investment restored the building, upgraded its infrastructure and equipped classrooms with modern educational resources. Sector Education Director Alexandru Votcariov said the project is part of a broader plan to expand preschool facilities in response to rising demand.
