Brașov bear conflicts rise as berry harvesting reduces natural food sources

As people collect fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries for sale in local neighborhoods or online, the natural food supply for bears in their habitat is significantly reduced.

This scarcity forces bears to travel longer distances and move closer to roads, households, and populated areas in search of sustenance, particularly as they prepare for the colder season.
