Brașov County launches digital One Stop Shop for public services
The Brașov County Council and nine local municipalities are implementing a unified “One Stop Shop” public service model through the “Digital Communities in Brașov County” project. Funded by European funds via the Regional Program Center 2021-2027, the initiative has a budget of 2,260,027 lei.
Partner municipalities include the city of Râșnov and the communes of Apața, Dumbrăvița, Hârseni, Jibert, Mândra, Sâmbăta de Sus, Ticușu, and Vulcan. The project aims to eliminate physical paperwork by providing a “One Stop Shop SaaS” cloud-ready platform. This virtual service will integrate electronic registries, automated registration, and electronic payments, making services accessible 24/7 via phone or computer.
Adrian Veștea, president of the Brașov County Council, stated that the project will create an interconnected network to prevent citizens from having to carry documents between different institutions. The digital architecture will utilize open technologies to reduce dependence on specific IT vendors and decrease paper consumption across the county.
