Brașov dogs reunited with owners after playground incident

Two large dogs that had caused alarm among children and parents at a playground in the Răcădău neighborhood of Brașov have been reunited with their owners. The animals were initially taken by the Brașov Local Police to a public shelter after being found at the Trandafirele Park playground on August 23.

At the time of the intervention, the dogs were not microchipped. While at the shelter, the animals received medical care, were microchipped, and were sterilized. The Brașov Local Police clarified that the dogs had escaped due to a moment of inattention from their caregivers, who had previously ensured they were vaccinated and dewormed.

The incident had sparked significant public debate and mixed reactions online regarding the police intervention. However, the owners successfully identified the dogs at the shelter and reclaimed them, providing a resolution to the situation.
