Brașov environmental authorities approve industrial permits

The Brașov County Environmental Directorate has issued environmental authorizations for two major industrial operations in Romania.

Silnef Metal Casting, located in Codlea, has received permission for the smelting and alloying of non-ferrous metals, including recovered products. The facility processes non-ferrous metal waste into aluminum alloy products such as ingots and semi-spheres. The authorization covers specific thresholds for lead, cadmium, and other non-ferrous metals.

Additionally, Romcim has obtained authorization for its operations in Hoghiz. This permit covers the production of cement clinker using rotary kilns, as well as activities related to waste recovery and disposal, including co-incineration.
