Brașov legal disputes involve former mayor and George Copos
The Brașov City Hall has restarted legal proceedings to recover over two million lei from former mayor Allen Coliban and former deputy mayor Flavia Boghiu. The lawsuit stems from a unilateral decision to terminate a parking management contract, which the municipality claims resulted in lost revenues and legal expenses. The trial has been reset to January 2027 following a court decision regarding a judicial assistant.
In a separate legal matter, George Copos has secured a temporary court victory regarding vehicle access to the Panoramic restaurant and the Tâmpa cable car. The Brașov Court partially granted a request from Copos’s companies, Ana Hotels and Ana Teleferic, allowing specific vehicles to use the Răcădău–Vârful Tâmpa route for maintenance and supplies. This access is subject to strict time restrictions and specific vehicle types, following environmental restrictions previously imposed by the Forest Guard.
