Brașov Mayor George Scripcaru criticizes USR opposition

Brașov Mayor George Scripcaru has launched sharp criticisms against USR council members, accusing them of political hypocrisy and obstructing the city's development. The mayor specifically addressed opposition to a proposed parking project under Titulescu Park, noting that USR members had previously supported similar parking initiatives in 2023, including projects near Tâmpa and the Prefecture Park.

Scripcaru characterized the opposition's stance as “userism in all its glory,” describing the councilors as frustrated and envious individuals who prioritize party interests over the needs of Brașov citizens. He argued that their actions regarding infrastructure, school facilities, and urban mobility projects serve only to delay essential community improvements and transform local administration into a venue for political retaliation.
