Brașov Philharmonic opens interactive history exhibition

The Brașov Philharmonic has launched an interactive exhibition titled ‘Symphony of Time – The Story of the Brașov Philharmonic’ at Sala Patria. The project commemorates the institution’s nearly 150-year history by blending archival heritage with contemporary communication technologies.

Visitors can explore the orchestra’s evolution through archival documents, photographs, video recordings, and multimedia installations. The exhibition features interactive elements designed to make classical music accessible, including a conducting simulator that allows guests to test their ability to maintain musical tempo, applications for composing or modifying musical fragments, and an interactive timeline of the institution’s milestones.

In addition to historical data, the exhibition uses tablets and audiovisual materials to explain the roles of various instruments and the inner workings of an orchestra, aiming to engage both seasoned music lovers and those new to the symphonic world.
