Brașov sports voucher program reaches over 900 children

Over 900 children in Brașov have enrolled in the ‘Health through Sport’ program, which provides a monthly voucher of 150 lei to support sports club membership fees. As of the latest reports, 936 applications have been submitted, involving 18 affiliated sports clubs.

While September 10 marks the deadline for applications to receive benefits starting in September, Vice Mayor Dan Ghiță noted that parents can still apply for subsequent months, including October and through 2026 and 2027. The program is specifically available to students residing in Brașov who are enrolled in full-time pre-university education and participate in sports at eligible clubs.
