Brasil Paralelo releases luxury bilingual edition of Homer's Odyssey

Brasil Paralelo announced a premium "table book" edition of Homer's Odyssey. The hard‑cover volume is printed in a large format and presents the text side‑by‑side in Portuguese and ancient Greek, translated by Odorico Mendes. The release includes original full‑page illustrations, a digital version, and a companion course of 24 lessons—over eight hours of content—taught by professor Clístenes Hafner Fernandes. Pre‑orders are available with free shipping throughout Brazil.

An accompanying article explains that the Iliad and the Odyssey are only two surviving parts of the larger Epic Cycle of the Trojan War, originally composed of eight poems. Most of the cycle has been lost, surviving only in fragments and later summaries, highlighting the broader literary context of Homer's works.
