Brasiléia expands rural road surfacing under summer operation
The City Hall of Brasiléia has expanded its road surfacing operations as part of the ‘Operação Verão’ (Summer Operation) initiative. The municipal government recently completed the gravel surfacing of 15 kilometers on the Ramal do KM 18, a stretch extending to the Varejão community, to improve transit for rural producers and residents.
Work has now transitioned to the Ramal Eletra toward KM 19, which is intended to provide access to KM 47. According to Josué Elias, the Municipal Secretary of Works, multiple teams are operating simultaneously across various locations, including KM 84, KM 59, KM 19, KM 60, and KM 67. These efforts include cleaning, maintenance, and pothole repairs in both rural access roads and urban areas to facilitate community mobility.
