Brasília history exhibition opens at National Museum of the Republic

The exhibition ‘Utopias em Construção: Brasília nas dobras do tempo’ is currently held at the Museu Nacional da República in Brasília. Organized by Marcus Lontra, Marília Panitz, and Rafael Peixoto in partnership with the Arquivo Público do Distrito Federal, the showcase features historical documents, photographs, architectural drawings, and artworks that depict the construction of the Brazilian capital.

A key feature of the exhibition includes four detailed models of works by Oscar Niemeyer, created using 3D printing, wood, and expanded PVC to allow visitors to explore the structural details of his architectural sketches. The event serves an educational purpose, recently hosting students from the CFPAM school to engage with the city's heritage.

The exhibition is free to the public and remains open through October. It is located in the Setor Cultural Sul, accessible via car, bus, or metro near the Brasília Cathedral.
