Brasília hosts inaugural Virada Cultural festival

Brasília is hosting its first-ever Virada Cultural, a 36-hour continuous festival of free art, music, and diversity. Inspired by the successful event in São Paulo, the festival is organized by Sesc-DF.

The event is centered in the Setor Comercial Sul, featuring nine stages and activities at the Teatro Sesc Silvio Barbato. The programming includes urban art, humor, performances, creative economy, and various musical manifestations.

The festival aims to promote local production and connect Brasília's artistic scene with national cultural figures. It features several local collectives and parties, such as Sarau Secreto, Play, Boogie, and Samba da Passarinha, intended to encourage community integration and the occupation of the city center.
