Brasília International Airport leads global punctuality rankings

Brasília International Airport reached the top of the global punctuality ranking for medium-sized airports in July 2026, according to data from the aviation consultancy Cirium. This follows two years of the terminal holding the second position worldwide.

In economic news, family indebtedness increased in July 2026 across both Brazil and the Distrito Federal. Data from the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC) shows that 82.0% of families in Brazil are indebted, compared to 81.6% in June. In the Distrito Federal, the rate rose to 79.9%, affecting approximately 844,359 families.

In the tourism sector, Stefano Parziale, sales director for Rocco Forte Hotels in Brazil and founder of Be Hospitality, visited Brasília to meet with high-end tourism entrepreneurs.
