Brass band festivals held in Switzerland and Austria

Regional brass band festivals were held in Switzerland and Austria, showcasing a mix of traditional and modern repertoire.

In Langau, Austria, the Horn-Waidhofen brass music district held a competition marking the 70th anniversary of the local hosts. Twenty-two bands participated, performing everything from traditional marches to modern hits such as Coldplay’s ‘Viva la Vida’. The Musikkapelle Langau led the highest category (Stufe E) with 94 points.

In Switzerland, the 25th Swiss Brass Band Meeting featured a gala concert by a Czech brass band, alongside various competitions and open-air concerts, fostering a festive atmosphere among participants.
