Bratislava Airport Records Over 500,000 Passengers in June

In June, Bratislava's M. R. Štefánik Airport handled 510,152 passengers, surpassing the half‑million mark for the first time in its history. The traffic rose 81 % compared with June of the previous year, and the airport reported a 32 % increase in flight movements, with 4,534 arrivals and departures.

For the first six months of the year the airport processed nearly 1.95 million passengers, a 123 % year‑on‑year gain, and reached the two‑million‑passenger milestone on 3 July. Airport chief Dušan Novota said the facility is on track to exceed four million passengers for the full year, breaking the 2025 record of 2.4 million. According to ACI Europe, Bratislava now has the fastest growth among medium‑size European airports.

Top destinations in the first half of the year included London, Barcelona, Rome, Košice and Malaga, while Antalya moved to the top spot in June thanks to a mix of charter and regular flights.
