Bratislava attracts growing number of international tourists

An American couple, Robert and Jill, recently visited Bratislava, expressing surprise at the city's weather and prices. After traveling from Budapest by train, they explored the historic center, noting landmarks such as the Blue Church, the Most SNP, and local statues like Čumil and Schöne Náci.

Despite their positive impression of the city's atmosphere, inclement weather including rain and strong winds prevented them from visiting Bratislava Castle.

Bratislava has seen a rise in international tourism, with nearly 1.2 million visitors in 2024, a 3.2 percent increase from the previous year. While most tourists originate from neighboring European countries, there has been a 12 percent increase in visitors from the United States and a significant 170 percent rise in tourists from China.
